Back during my days at FIT, we had a group project to work on. My partners and I worked hard together to create a cohesive capsule. Our styles and thought processes were entirely different, so the project was quite challenging. As a designer who always emphasizes fit, function, and comfort, this was my take on an asymmetrical pair of pants with the comfort of leggings and the style and interest of a dress pant.
One thing that the project taught me was to accept other individuals’ tastes and criticisms gracefully. The fashion industry is filled with egos and strong personalities. You need the strength to stand behind your own ideas and the patience and wisdom to give others the space to showcase their ideas while accepting criticism without taking it personally. It’s not an easy task. I love these cozy pants; They break away from your everyday jogger.
