Just finished this standing propane fire pit for my son's elementary school PTA auction. Kids created designs inside salmon and bear paw print outlines inspired by Pacific Northwest Native American art. Kristi and I carefully burned these designs onto the barrel. The propane tank hides inside the barrel.

I still have barrels available. With the rainy season upon us, I noticed more people getting barrels to use for catching rain water. The oak barrels look so much better than plastic ones. It's an easy project and cheaper than those fancy sculpted plastic ones.

New item! Cradle planter cut from an oak wine barrel.

The planter comes with feet cut from pressure treated 4x6. The barrel itself is not in contact with the ground for longer life. The bands are fully secured with more than 100 screws, which collectively reduce the tendency of barrel staves to shift around as the wood goes through cycles of swelling and drying.

The planter can be set flat or tilted to one side to have a greater spill over effect in one direction.

This is a special order item. Contact me if you'd like me to build you one.

This is a special order item. When ordering, specify if you want taller peaks or gentle rolling hills. You can also choose to have tall peaks in the back and gentle hills in the front.

All barrels that I carry are 59 gal in capacity, typically about 38" tall and 28" in diameter, and have previously been used for aging red wine.

Number of bands, band placement and marks on the barrel head vary by barrel maker.
