Just a few of the upcoming crochet workshops available at the Haddenham Arts Centre in June and July. Come and join us to learn how to make a granny square (2 patterns available; traditional granny square made with granny clusters and a mandala design for those who are more confident.) in the Humble Granny Square workshop in 14th June. Extend you use of the granny square into making clothing in the Humble Granny Square 2 workshop on 28th June.
*The July Absolute Beginners Workshop has been moved from the original 5th July date to *12th July*. If you would like to have a go at crochet but don’t know where to start this is the ideal workshop for you! We start with the absolute basics and everyone works at their own pace.
On 19th July come and crochet your own decorative table runner, incorporating a range of stitches to including the Primrose stitch.
If you can’t make the advertised dates, but would still like to do a workshop please get in touch to arrange a 1:1 or small group session.

This Friday will be the 3rd session of the Haddenham Arts Centres Under 5’s Group! We will be singing, dancing and crafting all things related to the story Tiddler 🐟, so come along and join in the fun! This group is designed and planned with children aged 2-5 years old in mind (younger siblings are very welcome too) and follows a structure aimed to gently support future school readiness. We follow a routine comprising a mixture of adult lead and free play activities and enjoy a delicious snack time courtesy of Start Tearooms (a wonderful place to stop for lunch after the group ends). We had a wonderful time at last Fridays Under 5’s Group at the Haddenham Arts Centre! We sang and danced, listened to the story ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’, made sparkling crowns and new ties for George the Giant.
On Friday 22nd May our story will be ‘Click Clack Crocodiles’s Back’ so come and join us for some snappy fun!

Don’t forget to book your space on this Sundays Crocheted Flowers Workshop. We will be making tulips using cotton yarn and incorporating wire for the stems and leaves to give them stability. A lovely decoration for your home or a gift for someone special.

There are still spaces remaining on both of this months workshops. If you are an absolute beginner and would like to learn the basics of crochet then this weekends (Sunday 10th May 11-2pm) workshop is for you. Come along and learn at your own pace and in a friendly and relaxed environment.
On Sunday 17th May we will be learning how to make tulips in the Crocheted Flowers workshop. We will be working in cotton yarn and learning how to crochet and shape leaves and stems using florists wire.
