(LONG) APPRECIATION POST: In light of some unwelcome drama this weekend at the Scotch Plains Farmers Market AND on local social media pages, I want to take a minute to send a HUGE, loving shoutout to our incredible market manager, Lisa Mohn! Not only does she run our market AS A VOLUNTEER with grace and a kind heart, but she is also a long-time resident of Scotch Plains, the owner of Apple Blossom Flower & Candy Shop, the President of the Scotch Plains Business and Professional Association, a caregiver to her partner Jeff, and a very dear friend to many…myself included!
Lisa is a wonderful, funny, and humble person who always goes above and beyond to support our market vendors, local businesses, neighbors AND children of all ages, even while navigating a challenging time in her personal life. Lisa is a pillar of strength & resilience in Scotch Plains, and goes out of her way to help those in need by selflessly giving back to our community in countless, and many times unseen, ways.
Lisa - you are loved, valued, and supported by all of us who know you…and even those who don’t! Thank you for everything you do!! ❤️
