NEW to The Cupboard Collective! I use my butcher block cutting board every day multiple times a day so when Scotsman & Co. made theirs available for shops to sell, I jumped on the opportunity. Scotsman & Co. is owned by Ben & Erin Napier of HGTV's Hometown show and the work put out by his shop in Laurel, MS, is impeccable. We currently have the large rectangle butcher blocks in stripes, cherry, walnut, and maple. I think Ben & Erin are a natural fit for the Cupboard Collective. 😉

I'm entering 2026 in a new stature as the owner of The Cupboard Collective. I'm admittedly somewhat new to all of the business-owning side of things although my passion for homemaking, cooking, food, and nutrition is nothing new and is certainly the fuel for the business. The Cupboard Collective began in June 2024 and I'm so grateful for the experiences I've had since being open.

The last two months of 2025 were spent connecting on a personal level with so many customers. We enjoyed meaningful conversations that will carry us into long-term relationships. I've heard your joys of cooking, your hardships in life (and cooking), your hopes for your sourdough journey, and I've witnessed your insatiable desire for more kitchen stuff, knowledge, and tools.

As this new year begins, I plan to meet those insatiable desires of yours by occupying the entire room at the top of the stairs in the Manor. I look forward to seeing you this year, providing beautiful products, ways to cook, learning opportunities, and being unreasonably hospitable. (If you question the "unreasonably" part ... ask about it next time you're in the shop.)

Everyone who has seen these Corningware Cornflower Dish ornaments at the Cupboard Collective this season has made some exclamation that sounds something like,
•"Oh my goodness! My mom had this!"
•Or "My grandmother used these dishes all the time!"
•Or "You can't buy this anywhere anymore and if you find it, it's so expensive!"
I've ordered three times this season because this ornament touches hearts, evokes memories, and brings back feelings from a simpler time or a special person. My daughter took it to a White Elephant ornament exchange and it was "stolen" FIVE times!

And that's how many I have left. FIVE. They are $26 and will be in the shop this week:
