But here’s the hack. Every great McIntosh integrated has preamp outputs on the back. Which means you can run it as your control centre and feed a larger stereo power amplifier from it.
Why would you do that? Well, you now have two amplifiers running in your system. The integrated drives one pair of speakers. The bigger power amp drives another. Two completely different listening experiences in the same room.
