What is Memphis Style?

Memphis style furniture is an eccentric, colorful design movement that originated in the early 1980s as a rebellion against minimalist and austere modernism.

David Bowie was a collector and if you ever get a chance to go to Mount Dora, Florida - make sure to visit the Modernism Museum (https://www.modernismmuseum.org) which has pieces from his collection on display.

But closer to home - we have a great collection of Memphis- inspired pieces in our booth #16 at Riverview Antique Market. 2045 West St Paul in Milwaukee. Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. 11-4. Closed Mondays.
