From London to Kenya 🇬🇧🇰🇪💛

One of the most meaningful moments of my time in Kenya was visiting Brilliant Angel School in Githogoro.

What made the visit so powerful was learning the story behind the school.

It was started by a group of young people, many still in their 20s, who came from the same kind of challenging environment as the children they now support. They understood first-hand how easy it can be for children to feel that their future is already decided for them.

So they decided to do something about it.

They started with just 20 children. Today, they are supporting and educating around 400 children.

Their goal is simple but incredibly powerful: to show these children that where they start in life does not have to determine where they end up.

Visiting the school, meeting the children and listening to the people behind it really stayed with me.

It also reminded me why I created The Nubian Princesses in the first place. Our mission has always been about more than dolls and books. It is about confidence, representation, education and helping children imagine a bigger future for themselves.

And of course, Sigi came with me too. 👑💛

Kenya has given me a lot to think about — not only about where The Nubian Princesses can grow, but about the kind of impact I want the brand to have as it grows.

This is only the beginning. 🇰🇪✨

Another lovely moment from the market 💛

One of the things I enjoy most about taking The Nubian Princesses out into the community is meeting people, having conversations and seeing the love and support for what we’re building.

And of course, Sigi had to make an appearance! 👑✨

Every purchase, conversation and word of encouragement helps us continue our mission of creating stories, dolls and experiences where Black girls can see themselves represented, celebrated and empowered.

Thank you for supporting The Nubian Princesses. 💜

Sitting at the 3rd Annual SME Conference.

✈️ Earlier this month, I travelled to Kenya with one goal: to explore how The Nubian Princesses could grow beyond the UK.

I wasn’t going on holiday.

I was going to learn, build relationships and discover new opportunities for children across Africa.

This trip became much bigger than I ever imagined.

🇰🇪 This is the beginning of my Kenya journey.

💛 Every smile tells a story.

One of the best parts of running The Nubian Princesses is meeting wonderful people who stop, ask questions, and discover our books and dolls for the very first time.

Seeing someone leave with a smile and a SIGI gift bag reminds me that representation matters. Every conversation is an opportunity to share a story, inspire confidence, and celebrate culture.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this journey. Every purchase helps us reach more children and families. 💙

She wasn’t shopping for a child.

She stopped at my table and looked at Kiraa and Sigi for a while.

Then she smiled and said,

“I wish I’d had something like this when I was little.”

She told me how beautiful she thought everything was. Her excitement was infectious, and by the end she couldn’t leave without taking home a bundle and a colouring book for herself.

Moments like this remind me why I started The Nubian Princesses.

It’s never just about a doll or a book. It’s about seeing yourself represented, celebrating your culture, and giving today’s children something many of us never had growing up.

Her joy became my joy, and that’s what keeps me going. 💙

This smile is exactly why The Nubian Princesses exists. 💙

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child proudly holding her Kiraa bag after choosing something that reflects her.

Every doll.
Every book.
Every conversation.

It’s all about helping children grow up feeling seen, confident and proud of who they are.

Thank you to every family that supports our mission. Moments like this remind us why we keep going.

Every time someone chooses Kiraa, they aren’t just buying a doll or a book.

They’re supporting a mission to help young girls grow up seeing themselves reflected in positive, joyful and empowering stories.

Thank you to everyone who stops by our stand, asks questions and believes in what we’re building.

Your support means more than you know.

✨ Which product would you take home first—the Kiraa Doll or the storybooks?

‘Meet Our Community’

Every smile tells a story. 💛

Meeting families and supporters face-to-face is one of the best parts of what we do.

Thank you to everyone who stops by our stand, asks questions, and believes that every child deserves to see themselves represented.

Representation starts with simple moments like these.
