QUICK TAVERN UPDATE: New Dice & Location Scouting! 🎲🏪

Hey everyone! It’s been a few days, so here is the latest behind-the-scenes news for Totnes Hobby Tavern:

1. Mystery Dice Goblin is coming! 👺🎲
We are officially looking to stock Mystery Dice Goblin! I’ve been testing their sample packs, and the quality is top-tier. Opening them gives you that exact same thrill as cracking a fresh Pokémon booster. I've already made a set my personal mains! We'll be stocking their mystery bags and their custom card sleeves.

2. We need your feedback on location! 🤔🗺️
We are currently weighing up a few property options. One strong possibility is a unit down at the Babbage Road industrial estate.

Before we make any decisions, we want to know what you think:

Would you be happy heading down to the industrial estate for gaming nights and stock?

TAVERN LOGISTICS UPDATE: THE LANDLORD BOSS BATTLE 🛡️

The emails are flying daily. Currently, we are locked in complex negotiations with the "Final Bosses"—the commercial landlords of Totnes. But we are holding the line!

I am NOT giving up. The mission for the Totnes Hobby Tavern is still 100% active. This community hub will happen.

To secure our Forward Operating Base, I need to show the decision-makers that Totnes wants (and needs) this hub. I need tactical proof of demand to present at the next briefing.

The Search for a Base:
We are still scouting out a permanent home! We are currently looking at a great location just off the Eastgate Arch. It’s central, unique, and would make an incredible "hidden" hub for gaming and 3D printing.

The Provisions:

What’s a Tavern without refreshments? We are hyped to announce that we’ve secured distribution accounts with:

AmericanFizz: Bringing the best US sodas and snacks to your hobby sessions.

The Potions Cauldron: Magical, fantasy-themed drinks to keep the immersion high while you’re at the tables.

We Want Your Input:

Since this is a community space, we want to know what you want on the shelves.

Hi everyone! Just a quick update on the progress bringing the "The Hobby Tavern" to Totnes.

While I am still in active (and patient!) negotiations to secure the perfect physical location in town, we aren't sitting still. To make sure we hit the ground running, we are currently designing our Online Store.

The Mission: We want to support the local hobby community right now. Our online shop will offer Warhammer, TCGs, and custom 3D printed parts as close to Retail Price as possible.

To start with the online store will be stocking mostly TCGs and Single cards as we secure more stock and get the printers up and running.

I will also be designing some custom dice to fit in with the theme.

The Pledge: Every single penny of profit from these sales will be reinvested directly into the "Tavern Fund." By shopping with us online, you are literally helping us lay the floorboards and buy the gaming tables for our permanent home in Totnes.

I am wanting to build this for the community, and I am building it to last. Keep an eye out for the store link coming soon!

Totnes Hobby Tavern Update: The Hunt for a Home! 🛡️🎲

Hi everyone! Just wanted to give you all a quick update on where we’re at with the Tavern.

The business plan is solid, the stock is being prepped, and the loan application is moving along nicely. The only "boss level" we’re currently stuck on is finding the perfect ground-floor premises in Totnes.

As many of you know, the town center is moving fast! I’m looking for a spot that isn’t just a shop, but a safe space for our community to gather, paint, and play.

I’ve been in talks with the Council and local agents, but the right "base of operations" hasn't popped up just yet.

We’re aiming for a mid-to-late summer launch to make the most of the sun and the school holidays.

Hi everyone!

For those who don’t know me, I’m Tommy. I’m a local lad and I’ve called Totnes home for over half my life. You might have seen me around town or served by me at the Morrisons counter recently—but today, I’m excited to finally share a project that’s been brewing for a long time.

Totnes is a special place. Having lived here so long, I know that we aren’t just a town; we are a community that truly supports its own. We value creativity, independent spirit, and spaces where people can actually connect. That’s exactly why I’m opening Totnes Hobby Tavern.

I’ve been a collector of trading cards my whole life and a massive fan of Warhammer and tabletop gaming. But I’ve always felt we needed a dedicated "home" for the hobby right here on the High Street.

What is the Tavern?

It’s more than just a shop. It’s a community hub where you can:
🛡️ Grab the latest Warhammer releases and TCG packs.
🖌️ Use our community tables to build and paint your latest projects.
🎲 Join in on gaming nights and local leagues.
⚙️ Access professional 3D printing services for custom parts and minis.

I’m currently working hard on finding the right spot to create a space that feels like a true adventurer’s retreat.
