When you think of skateboarders, do you think of punk kids? Well, some of those kids are now in college, and they’re still skating.

Utah State University Journalism professor Brian Champagne took some of his photography students along to let the USU skateboard club touch up their image in their own words.

Many of the skaters are involved in rigorous academic paths. Civil engineering, accounting, computer science and pre-med are just a few of the degrees members of the club are pursuing.

“There’s some smart guys in skateboarding,” one member said.
