We’re shipping out 10,000 balsa wood gliders today! ✈️ This project was 3 years in the making, and it taught us a great lesson about the hidden costs of "cheaper" materials.
For a long time, this client hesitated because our price was slightly higher. They tried suppliers using spliced/jointed wood, which led to:
❌ Visual issues: Uneven color and poor printing quality.
❌ Performance issues: Inconsistent density across the wings, leading to unstable flight paths.
In STEM, if the tool doesn't work, the lesson fails. We use solid, single-piece balsa wood—no splicing, no color gaps, and consistent density for a perfect glide every time.
After testing our samples, the difference was clear. We are thrilled to finally partner up and get these high-performance gliders into the hands of students.
