1. Get on an actual program
I spent way too much time just lifting heavy and trying to PR. Having a plan and actually sticking to it made a huge difference. The exact program I use is available for $25 through the link in my bio.
2. Get stronger everywhere, not just at bench
A bigger bench isn’t built by benching alone. I put a lot of work into my triceps, shoulders, and upper back with rows, close grip bench, dips, overhead press, and a ton of accessory work.
3. Figure out where you’re weak and attack it
When my bench stalled, I started using different variations to work on specific weak points. Paused bench, dead stop bench, bands, chains, heavy holds, etc. Find where you suck and get better at it.
Most importantly, give it time.
It took me 8 years of trying different things, making mistakes, and figuring out what actually worked for me. Just stay consistent.
