Dear Lovely Customers
Unfortunately, 6 months in, we’ve experienced our first problematic payment receipt on a garden joosh-up project balance. Due to this unfortunate circumstance, we’re implementing a policy change:
Terms to Date: quotes include a 20% buffer and require a 70% deposit before a confirmed phase commences, with the final balance due the day after said works complete. 70% is a bit higher than the typical 50%, but this is because we put lower margins than usual on physical items, to bring you reasonable prices. Any additional overages will always be discussed in advance (we’re often asked to add extras once work begins and all the excitement starts).
Revised Terms:
Customers referred by other good paying customers: terms as above.
Other customers: quotes include a 30% buffer and require a 100% upfront payment before a confirmed phase commences. Any balance after the said works complete will be refunded or issued as a store voucher (36 months validity) or can be used for additional garden work such as maintenance visits – customer choice. The same policy applies to additional overages.
Sadly, we are aware that this may affect us getting some projects, and it isn’t an easy decision, but needed to be made. We are reputable business, registered as BM-DE (Pty) Ltd (2025/672847/07 - 9082468290), in good standing with SARS, suppliers , staff and our lovely landlord – we cannot risk that and appreciate the same respect in return.
