WHY HAS MY HONEY CRYSTILLISED?

Do not worry. Your honey has not gone bad.

Crystallisation is a normal process of nature. It is one of the signs that your honey is real, raw and unprocessed.

Bosveld Goud honey comes straight from the hive. Raw honey still carries the natural goodness of the veld, including pollen, enzymes and natural sugars. Over time, the glucose in the honey starts to form small crystals. This can make the honey thicker, grainy or even solid.

This is completely normal. You can still eat it exactly as it is. Spread it on toast. Stir it into tea. Use it on oats, yoghurt, pancakes or fresh bread. Many people enjoy crystallised honey because it is easier to spread and has a rich texture.

In Trompie en die Boksombende, vir dié wat nie weet nie, vertel Topsie Smith se bekende boekreeks, wat later ook ’n TV-reeks geword het, hoe die seuns klippe huis toe geskop het. In daardie dae was skoene net vir skool en kerk.
