What if you could take the useful part of the nappy rash cream trend and formulate it properly for your skincare routine? 👀

The trend works because the ingredients in the cream can create a protective barrier on the skin, helping reduce moisture loss and shield it from external irritants.

But what if we could make it from only plant-based ingredients?

Our Gentle Barrier & Calming Cream formula combines natural ingredients to create a rich, protective cream for dry and irritated skin.

Want to see exactly how it’s formulated, including ingredient percentages and the step-by-step method?

Comment “Barrier Cream” and we’ll send you the full guide! 💛

Did you know you can use a microwave to make some of your own DIY products? 👀

You don’t always need fancy equipment or a double boiler to get started.

But before you put your ingredients into the microwave, there’s one important question to ask:

🤔 Can the ingredients handle the heat?

Some ingredients are heat-sensitive and can lose their properties when exposed to high temperatures. Others simply need gentle, controlled heating to melt properly.

Start with short intervals, such as 15 seconds, then stop and stir thoroughly. Check the temperature before deciding whether more heat is needed.

🔥If your ingredients are suitable for microwave heating, make sure you stop heating as soon as everything has melted or reached the temperature your formula requires

It’s not about heating your ingredients as quickly as possible. It’s about giving them just enough controlled heat to do what you need.

What practical formulation challenges are you struggling with?

Spring is almost here!

Now is the time to clear out the clutter, make better use of what you already have and start the new season feeling refreshed. ♻️

We’ve tried to make this easier for you with our spring cleaning checklist.

Just work your way through each task and tick them off as you go.

Your Naturally Fresh Spring Checklist:

✔️Open the windows and air out your home
✔️ Declutter one room at a time
✔️ Declutter cupboards, drawers and those forgotten corners
✔️ Wash and pack away winter blankets and throws
✔️ Deep clean the fridge, microwave, oven and kitchen cupboards
✔️ Scrub bathroom tiles, grout, showers and remove soap buildup
✔️ Freshen bins, drains and other odour-prone areas
✔️ Wash curtains, cushion covers and bedding
✔️Clean windows and mirrors
✔️ Wipe down doors, handles and light switches
✔️Clean out and organise your cleaning cupboard
✔️Don't forget door handles, switches, electronics, lamps and remotes
✔️ Wash reusable bottles, containers and shopping bags
✔️ Refresh your laundry and clean the washing machine
✔️Air out mattresses, cushions and pillows

For your DIY cleaning cupboard, keep a few versatile ingredients on hand like Baking Soda, Citric Acid, Borax, Washing Soda, Castile Soap and your favourite essential oils.

A fresh start doesn’t need a cupboard full of products. Sometimes, a few versatile ingredients and a little know-how can go a long way. 💚

When stubborn dirt and grime just won’t budge, a simple combination of baking soda and plant-based Decyl Glucoside can create a hardworking scrub for bathrooms, tiles and those tricky spots that need a little extra attention.

Just mix Decyl Glucoside with baking soda until you have a thick paste, pop it into a jar and use a small amount on a cloth to gently scrub stubborn surfaces.

Use sparingly on a cloth to scrub stubborn surfaces such as in the bathroom or tiles. Wear gloves to protect your skin as this formula can feel a bit harsh.

Need something a little more powerful? Borax can be used instead of baking soda for tougher cleaning jobs.

A few simple ingredients can go a long way towards creating a more purposeful, natural home cleaning routine. 💚

If you’re tired of heavily fragranced cleaners and want simple ingredients that can actually get the job done, a few household staples can go a long way.

🫧 Borax helps tackle mould, grease, stains and laundry.

🧺 Washing soda helps soften hard water and acts as a laundry softening and cleaning solution.

🧽 Baking soda is your go-to for odours, stubborn grime, burnt pots and gentle scrubbing without relying on harsh abrasives.

🍋 Add citric acid and you can create that satisfying fizz that helps lift dirt from toilets and drains.

You can even add a few drops of lemon, eucalyptus or tea tree essential oil for a fresh natural scent.

And those reusable spray bottles? Keep them filled and refill them again and again. 💚

Did you know that cold, dry air can encourage moisture to move out of your hair, while a rough or damaged cuticle can increase friction between hair fibres?

Add static, frequent heat styling, or existing hair damage, and your once smooth strands can become more prone to frizz and flyaways. 😩

When choosing hair care products, it helps to understand what different ingredients actually do. Humectants help attract and retain water; conditioning ingredients improve slip and reduce friction; and emollients and oils soften hair and can reduce moisture loss.

When you understand your hair type, your specific hair concerns, and the role of different ingredients, you can make more informed choices about what your hair actually needs rather than simply reaching for more products. 🌿

Want to learn more about the science behind frizz and make your own nourishing leave-in conditioner?

Comment “Reduce Frizz” and we’ll send you the full beginner-friendly recipe, along with guidance to help you understand the ingredients, make informed choices and feel confident creating something that works for your hair. 💚
