Greek SOC Rhodes

Greek SOC Rhodes Rhodes University's Official Greek Society, spreading the knowledge, love & unity of the Greek cultur the stationery drive and the sanitary towels drive).

For the coming year, the committee plans to improve the society's cultural segments, entertainment areas as well as our community engagement section. Until recently, the empire that was Greece had been hit by a deep recession, forcing the country to default and thus making the once strong people, poor. Whilst this might be the case from a financial and political point of view, Greek Soc knows one

thing, our strength lies in our passion and determination to reignite the power that lies with the Greek culture. This year we we deliver in ways that were always thought to be impossible:

- Toga Takeover
- Annual Greek Ball
- Cinema under the stars
- Greek culture segments
- Halloween party

Greek Soc Rhodes is also an affiliate of NAHYSOSA, which is the National Association of Hellenic Youth and Student Organisations of South Africa. This organisation is a non-profit organisation, founded in 1981 and aims to bring about solidarity and unity among all the Hellenic Youth of South Africa. Greek Soc will be contributing to NAHYSOSA's bursary fund as well as engage in Rhodes University's charity drives (e.g. We are still in the midst of planning more events to ensure our awesome Gods and Goddesses have an unforgettable year so stay tuned!

We are SO excited to present the first official:

GREEKS ON THE GREENS 🥬 🐢🪴🍏

Date: Sunday, 14 August
Time: 10:00 - 15:00
Location: La Café lawns

Anyone and everyone is welcome!

Join us for a leisurely Sunday of games, stalls, food, a bouncy castle and much more! All proceeds from the day will go to our local water warriors, River Rescue 💧🧚‍♀️

NB: If you are a local entrepreneur please contact us to set-up a stall at the greens! We can’t wait to meet you 🤍
