Lucky enough to get this as a gift 🖤 The top-rated Baltic Porter from Czechia, according to Untappd (very nifty beer tasting app).

Porters are a pretty rare beer to find in SA, and the Baltic porter even more so. More roasty and dried-fruity than other porters.

This one was fantastic. Full mouthfeel, with a nice spread of flavours - sweeter up front, stewed fruit and molasses, finishing with more bitter chocolate coated coffee beans at the end of the sip. Not sweet, not bitter, nice dry finish.
8% which helps to warm the cockles of your black-beer-drinking heart.

I only had one can and now i might have to move to Prague.
Fantastic NEIPA! Just delicious!

Citra, Mosaic and Dolcita hops bring mango, passionfruit and peach, sweet citrus with a bite of gooseberry.
The use of a special ingredient called Phantasm (a special powder made from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc grape skins!) elevates the juicy flavours to the next level.

Can't believe this epic, innovative brewery is saying goodbye.

I truly thought Mad Giant was going to take over the SA beer scene 💔 Thanks for the amazing beers and experiences over the years 🍻

I remember reading their manifesto a few years ago and thinking YES, THIS IS MAGIC! Wish I still had a copy of it.

And while I'm wishing, what about an unlimited supply of the Urban Legend IPA as well.

Epic beers, an epic dream to bring craft into every SA household. Strongs team, cheers to an amazing journey!
