Snare rescue by Onderstepoort University.
Wonderful work by the team who successfully immobilised this zebra and safely removed the snare. If this snare had stayed on for a day or two longer, the wire would have started to cut into the zebras neck.

Another snare removed from a young bull last Friday. A Nasty double trunk snare.
His breathing was compromised by scar tissue, so a minor surgery was needed to remove scar tissue and enlarge the breathing holes on the bottom snare. The bull still has full use of his remaining trunk.

Another successful snare removal operation.
This Blesbok ram was spotted with a loose snare around his neck. Aarvark Vet & .vanwyk.16 went out on 3 different occations to imobalise the ram. They had no luck finding him on the first two attempts, and on the third time they were succesful.
There were no injuries or wounds caused by the snare.
The snare was easily removed and the Blesbok was released back into the game reserve.
