It is very liberating when you realise you don't have to fit into a specific box and get stuck in a rut.

Above is a photo dump of my last week: late night doodles from last week, two days ago I was sewing a loptop bag (also mastered a new language on the side) and this morning I was crocheting until 00:30 because I wanted this little crochet collar now. 🫣 I get bored very easily and need constant change, that is how I recharge and get energised.

I do notice my watercolour brushes that is screaming for attention and think I am ready for them again.

I'm sorry about all the nasty things I've said about you Gouache! 😉
The last few weeks have been quite busy and time for being creative limited. By last Sunday I was feeling bleh. So I took out my gouache paint and some leftover goldleaf 'crumbs' and just played.
It isn't nearly perfect, in fact I didn't use the right brush for the goldleaf either and it looks blotchy and I had to look at pictures of people that paint more loosely as it isn't my normal style. But after that quick hour between goldleaf dust and dirty brushes, I felt like a new person.
I've also felt unsure about posting this as it is nothing like my usual work, but I also believe it is necessary to always be open and true. There is enough fake and "perfect" in this world. We need more of what is real.
