ESEE Zancudo 🔪

Designed by Mike Perrin and Jeff Randall of ESEE/RAT — the same names behind some of the most trusted survival knives out there. "Zancudo" means mosquito in Spanish, and while it's slim, it's built to take a beating in daily use.

It runs a D2 tool steel blade with a black EDP coating and a full flat grind for clean, reliable cutting. The tan FRN handle is backed by full-length steel liners and a strong frame lock, with a reversible pocket clip and lanyard hole for however you like to carry.

(Quick fact: D2 sits right on the edge between stainless and carbon steel — it holds an edge exceptionally well, though it needs a bit more care to prevent corrosion compared to true stainless steels.)

Lightweight at around 3 oz, and built for everyday hard use.

This one brings the drama: sandblasted titanium handle, blurple anodized hardware, and a 3.15" M390 clip-point blade (beadblast finish, flat grind, HRC60-62) locked in with a smooth crossbar mechanism.

🧠 Knowledge nugget: Anodizing titanium doesn't add colour with dye — it grows a layer of oxide on the surface whose thickness determines the colour you see. No two anodized pieces are ever perfectly identical, which is part of the appeal for collectors.
