September 2026 Fuel Price South Africa: Petrol and Diesel Set to Jump on 2 September

From midnight going into Wednesday, 2 September 2026, both petrol and diesel are set to go up — with diesel taking by far the harder knock. The latest Central Energy Fund (CEF) data points to petrol rising by around 90 cents to R1.07 a litre depending on grade, and diesel climbing by anywhere from R2.71 to more than R3.00 a litre.
