We started painting the studio. Found a damp patch. Pulled it back. Found more…

Here's the thing — I was absolutely tempted to just put a shelf in front of it. Nobody would know. It would've taken five minutes.

But I would know. And I care about what's underneath. What the pour looks like before it sets. Whether the foundation is actually solid before you build anything on top of it.

You can't craft something properly on a broken base.

So we're cementing. Replastering. Doing it right. The studio will be ready when it's actually ready — not just when it looks ready from the outside.
The candles are worth the wait. I promise 🖤

IT'S HERE 🕯️🖤

I bought a candle company. Taught myself everything from scratch. Finally figured it out. And then we decided to buy a house the other side of the country.

Because of course we did.

The wax, the moulds, the supplies, the absolute chaos of it all — it just came off that truck. The studio is waiting. The shelves are slowly going up.

The official first pour is closer than it's ever been.

Crafted by chaos wasn't a tagline. It was a prophecy. Whoops

✨ A little full-circle moment… ✨

Right before I officially took over Wick & Flame from Hayley — before either of us even knew the business was changing hands — I placed a small candle order. Just a few to gift to my staff.

Turns out… that order was her very last one.
Yeah. I was her final customer.
Poetic, right?

So those candles? They’ve found a permanent home on my bookshelves instead — a tiny, waxy tribute to where this story both ended and began. A flicker of what came before, and everything still to come.

Originally, I wasn’t planning to reuse any of Hayley’s scent profiles. But if one of her blends ever stands out in your requests — if something truly captures your hearts — I’ll absolutely reach out to her and see about bringing it back in a small, special batch.

Because some flames are worth relighting. 🕯️💛
