Glenshiel Fair Next Fair: 28 October – 1 November 2026 Herbert Baker designed Glenshiel.

Visitors to the fair will be able to enjoy the magnificent gardens on the ridge overlooking the treed suburbs of Westcliff, Zoo Lake and beyond. There will be approximately 70 stands in the garden this year alongside the Food Lawn so shoppers can relax amongst the roses while enjoying lunch - or breakfast for those who wish to get a head start. Rarely seen by the public, this is an opportunity to admire the panelled rooms and ancient banners of the Order of St. John while shopping for gifts that have travelled from as far afield as the Cape and Durban. The aim of the organisers is to showcase new and unusual gifts as well some local favourites. The Priory for South Africa of the Order of St John

Bring your old glasses to the Glenshiel Fair 💚

Have a pair of glasses tucked away in a drawer that you no longer wear? Bring them along this year and help us give them a new purpose.

This year at the Fair we'll be collecting unwanted glasses and frames for St John Eye Care. Your donations will help support the work of St John's nine eye care centers across South Africa, where affordable eye care and spectacles make a real difference in people's lives.

What can you donate?
- Prescription glasses
- Reading glasses
- Sunglasses, including prescription sunglasses
- Empty frames, even without lenses

Your old glasses may no longer be useful to you, but they could make a real difference to someone else. A small way to give back while you Shop for Good.

A little look inside Glenshiel.

Designed by Sir Herbert Baker in 1910, the House has been part of the Westcliff landscape for more than a century, with rooms that still hold so much of their original character ✨

During the Fair, the House becomes part of the experience too, with visitors making their way through its rooms as well as the tents and gardens beyond. We look forward to opening the doors and welcoming you inside this October.

30 days to the Fair ✨

In one month, the House, tents and gardens will be ready, the gates will be open and the 2026 Glenshiel Fair will be underway.

There’s plenty happening behind the scenes between now and then, and over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing more of the people, food and details that will make up this year’s Fair.

For now, the countdown is officially on.

The Rose Garden at Glenshiel 🌹

One of the loveliest corners of the Fair, with the tent set amongst the roses and beneath one of Glenshiel’s magnificent jacarandas.

With the gardens full of colour, there really is something special about Spring in Johannesburg - and this is a particularly lovely spot to enjoy it.

The Glenshiel Fair has always been about more than shopping.

Behind the beautiful finds, good food and time spent together is a purpose that has been at the heart of the Fair from the beginning: supporting the work of St John South Africa and the communities it serves.

Every ticket helps contribute to this work, from eye care and first aid training to wider community health initiatives across South Africa.

That’s what we mean when we say Shop for Good 💚

Preview Evening has always been a special way to experience Glenshiel ✨

It’s the evening the gates open, the Fair begins and guests get to enjoy Glenshiel after hours, with good food, a glass in hand and plenty of time to browse.

This year, we’re giving the evening a fresh feel while keeping everything people love about Preview Evening at its heart.

Browse your way through Glenshiel 🌺

You’ll find vendors throughout the house, across the tents and around the gardens, with plenty to discover as you make your way through the historic estate. Stop for lunch, meet friends for a drink and take some time to enjoy the surroundings in between.

Designed by Sir Herbert Baker in 1910, Glenshiel’s beautiful architecture and gardens are very much part of the experience.

And one useful tip from us: comfortable shoes are a must.
