TAILOR / SEWING SPECIALIST VACANCY

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Tailor / Sewing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong sewing experience, be comfortable working with heavy-duty machinery, and have the ability to think creatively and find practical solutions.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform high-quality sewing and tailoring work across various materials.
- Sew leather and other heavy-duty materials using industrial sewing machinery.
- Operate and work confidently with different types of sewing and production machinery.
- Assist with pattern making, adjustments and garment/product construction.
- Interpret patterns, measurements and designs accurately.
- Work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Apply creative, "out-of-the-box" thinking to solve sewing and production challenges.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Adapt to different projects, materials and production requirements.
-REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of professional sewing/tailoring experience.
- Strong sewing and tailoring skills are essential.
- Proven experience working with leather and heavy-duty materials.
- Experience operating heavy-duty/industrial sewing machinery is essential.
- Knowledge and experience in pattern making.
- Ability to work with various sewing and production machinery.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to take on different tasks and projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- SKILLS ASSESSMENT
Please note: Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a practical sewing skills assessment, which will be timed. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their sewing, machinery operation, accuracy and problem-solving abilities.
Male candidates are preferred, particularly those with strong experience working with leather, heavy-duty materials and industrial sewing machinery.
