I was just thinking this very thing.
We can't compete with the big boys who mass produce.
Small scale costs so much more than large scale and for us, our priority is the quality of life our hens have.
Our focus is eggs and boy oh boy is it far more adventurous having to hunt for eggs out in the fields compared to caged hens who lay straight into the trays it seems like.

Or when someone wants grass-fed pasture-raised poultry.... For store-bought prices.
