Seven Sons Ranch Spotlight! This is a Christmas cowboy romance series - Seven Sons Ranch in Three Rivers!

Every one of these books features Christmas prominently. Some take place right over the holiday.

This series was my very first family saga romance series. I absolutely love these books and this family. They came along with me for this ride of writing romance in a completely different way.

The heroes let me take time from their leading ladies and give it to other brothers. I had to learn who "deserved" page time, and how much of the small town drama and family saga I could put in the book, while still keeping true to what a romance IS.

Seven Sons was born from my love of Christmas. And cowboys. And billionaires.

And then, I thought - what would introduce a lot of conflict for a town, a family, and the couple too?

Answer: Fake marriage.

And let me tell you - coming up with SEVEN different reasons two people would get married falsely???

That was SO HARD, and I did it!

Thus, I have a lot of love and feelings for the Walker Brothers. They paved the way for the Hammonds, the Glovers, and the Youngs.

It ALL started with Rhett Walker. And Jeremiah. Oh, holy stars in heaven. JEREMIAH WALKER.

He's one of my all-time favorite grumpy cowboys, and one of the cheeriest, most wonderful is his brother Wyatt.

I absolutely LOVED creating his cowboy hat wave-applause. I get a little teary even THINKING about it, and as I re-read these books this fall in preparation for the next Three Rivers Romance series, I 100% cried in each one for different reasons.

😩 "Writing is hard."

If I had a nickel for every time I either read or heard this phrase uttered by another author, I’d have a whole mountain of nickels. 🗻

And you know what? Authors are not to blame! We’ve heard that “writing is hard” from everywhere. Teachers, industry professionals, other authors….

“Writing is hard” has become the doomsday drumbeat that bangs in the background of our lives.
Then we begin to believe it, and hear ourselves repeating those words to explain away our fears, our disappointments, and our struggles.

Why do we say it?

Because it feels true. 😩

Well, I decided it doesn’t have to be true for me. And you can also decide it doesn’t have to true for you.
What if you nurtured a new belief?

One that actually served you?

What if…

Writing was FUN? 🤩

What if you sat down each day and felt invigorated to write?

What if ideas and conversations from characters woke you in the middle of the night, instead of that tight panicky feeling in your chest that makes you believe you’re not good enough?

What if you knew (as you were typing the next chapter in your book) that this was the makings of the masterpiece?

That certainty is everything.
