Another extraordinary piece by .

This felted table runner was hand made with pure merino wool, which is locally sourced and hand dyed. Felting involves layering raw fibres and transforming them through water, soap, and gentle agitation, binding them into a strong, organic fabric- a process which allows each piece to develop its own character, shaped as much by hand as by the behaviour of the fibres themselves.

The most important thing for us at Musha is the artisans. People are capable of creating such beauty, and how special is it to own something that's been carefully and lovingly made by hand?

Pictured here are the people behind Barrydale Handweavers, who weave each and every piece we sell. We spent a morning with them in their weavery in Barrydale and were in awe of how everything is made, with such skill and time taken to perfect each piece. It was lovely getting to know some of these people and hearing their stories.

This is what Musha is about.

Pouring them is a slow process, meant to produce pieces that help you bring beauty into your everyday spaces. These shapes are sculpted by the hand of our founder, carved and poured with the intention of bringing beauty and warmth to your home.

Introducing Ceil Ann, a textile artist working between Cape Town and Barrydale.

Working entirely by hand with pure Merino wool, Ceil creates richly textured runners and textiles that sit between functional homeware and contemporary art. Every piece is shaped entirely by hand, embracing the natural warmth, softness and character of wool.

What we love most about Ceil’s work is its originality. Her pieces feel refined and organic all at once, bringing texture, warmth and a sense of artistry to everyday spaces.
