To our valued suppliers from around the country who supply our branches in Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, please bear with us as we navigate a difficult period for our little Orange Elephant family following an armed robbery at our Victoria Falls shop. Not only did we lose cash earmarked for payments, but also a laptop and paperwork containing information on sales. We are making a plan, however, and just need a bit of time to sort it all out. On the positive side, the support we've received from everyone, the kindness and generosity shown, especially to Lyle, our dear manager, who was in the shop at the time has totally blown us away. The community has come together in incredible ways and is actively working with the police and private security companies to ensure the continued safety and security of the town. We are picking ourselves up, dusting ourselves off and facing this new week with gratitude: first and foremost that Lyle was not seriously hurt and secondly for all those who have reached out and helped in so many ways. The day after the incident, we managed to restore the shop from a literal crime scene to a Christmas shop, replete with decorations, and went ahead as planned with our Christmas launch, a chance to celebrate all that we have and count our blessings.
