House of Prose

House of Prose Second hand Bookshop With a university degree in journalism, and as a life long lover of books, he finally fulfilled his dream of opening his own shop in 1993.

House of Prose is a second hand bookshop unique in the Middle East market as we not only buy and sell books but we also offer a 50% buy back in credit for those books purchased from us. In our three Dubai locations - the Dubai garden Centre, Sheikh Zayed Road, Times Square Center, Sheikh Zayed Road and within Jumeirah Plaza, on Jumeirah Beach Road we have an extensive range of new and second hand books including a large selection of childrens' books. Mike McGinley is the American proprietor, living and working in the Middle East since 1984, where he noticed secondhand bookshops were non-existent. The store was immediately successful. For 24 years now he has greatly enjoyed being involved in the book trade and assisting his many patrons in their choice of books suited to their criteria of what constitutes 'a good read.'

The founding principle remains the same - House of Prose offer great books at great prices and A GUARANTEE OF 50% REFUND ON RETURN OF ANY HOUSE OF PROSE BOOK TO ANY SHOP, AT ANY TIME. Our page is here to inform and be informed. Book reviews, tidbits on authors and up to date information on books coming into the market. Feel free to add your comments and opinions onto our wall. Mike and his experienced team will still be striving to connect the right books for the right reader at the right price, just as they have been doing face-to-face in their shops for years. Even books purchased through the House of Prose website the offer of a 50% refund upon return still stands. The web site are simply tools to help facilitate that purpose.

Woody Harrelson has been arrested for dancing in the street, damaging property, and planting h**p seeds — but his brief brushes with the law are nothing compared to his father. Shortly after abandoning his family, Charles Harrelson received a 15-year sentence for killing a Texas grain dealer.

After being let out early in 1978, he went on to work as a hitman for a drug lord named Jimmy Chagra, and subsequently assassinated U.S. District Judge John H. Wood on May 29, 1979 — who Chagra was scheduled to go before to receive a possible life sentence for drug smuggling. Learn more about Woody Harrelson's infamous father: https://bit.ly/2XX1JJm
