Ocarina of Time is coming back on Switch 2, and if you never played a classic Zelda there are three on the eShop that teach the same loop first. Link's Awakening is the closest cousin, one key item per dungeon that opens the next part of the island, and the remake adds the Chamber Dungeon where you rebuild cleared rooms into your own layout.

Skyward Sword HD is the earliest story in the timeline and the HD version added button controls so motion is optional. Echoes of Wisdom keeps the dungeons but gives you Zelda and the Tri Rod, so puzzles are about copying objects and monsters rather than swinging a sword.

MEFCC Abu Dhabi is not just another fan weekend this year. The event runs from September 11 to 13, 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, with VIP tickets sold out and standard tickets moving quickly, so this is already a concentrated regional fandom moment, not a vague pop-culture topic.

That TCG detail matters because trading card players spend differently from general event visitors. A casual fan may buy a ticket, take photos, and leave. A TCG player is usually planning ahead: registration, practice, sleeves, deck upgrades, last-minute testing, side-event spending, and sometimes digital companion habits around mobile games, online marketplaces, community groups, or gift purchases for friends at the event. Onimusha Way of the Sword launched Friday and the pre order bonus did not die with it.

When Capcom moved the release forward three weeks it turned the pre order bonus into an Early Adopter Bonus that stays claimable after launch. Most coverage stops there and gives one cutoff date. Capcom's own product page gives two. PS5, Xbox, Windows and Switch 2 run to September 24 at 23:59 local. Steam and Epic run to September 25 at 23:59 UTC.

Console players have a day less than PC players and almost nobody is saying so.

The items are Charm Lion Dog, which grants a special effect when equipped, and Sword Appearance Sealed Curse, which is cosmetic only. Separately, if you kept your demo save data you can claim the Kubi Akari charm in the full game.

Xbox's cloud gaming update is worth paying attention to, because it changes the way players should think about access. Xbox says Game Pass cloud gaming will move to monthly hour limits, with 15 hours for Ultimate, 10 hours for Premium, and 5 hours for Essential, while extra cloud playtime will be available through the Xbox Store.

For users, this is not just a technical policy change, it is a budget-planning change. If you only use cloud gaming to test a few games before downloading, five or ten hours might be enough. If you play on mobile, an older console, a laptop, or a smart TV because you do not always have console access, then the limit matters much more. The question becomes, how many hours do you actually need, and is your current tier still the right one once cloud time becomes measured?

That is the detail many players will miss. Downloaded console and PC play are not the same as cloud play, and the hour cap is about the cloud layer. Are you streaming full sessions, testing games, playing while travelling, or using cloud as your main route because hardware is expensive or unavailable? Zelda is forty years old today and the anniversary Direct goes live at 5 PM EET. Here is the whole run in one minute, from the 1986 original to the loop A Link to the Past built, the 1998 jump to 3D, the ocean, the wolf, the open world, and Zelda finally taking the lead.

The part nobody explains is what you can actually play on Switch 2 right now. With Switch Online and the Expansion Pack the NES, SNES, Game Boy and N64 entries are there, the GameCube Wind Waker runs too but only on Switch 2, and Twilight Princess is still absent on both Switch systems. So the Ocarina remake is a first playthrough for a lot of people, not a nostalgia lap.
