🌿💧 Another important step within the project!

Gjelbërimi 2000 conducted a marine litter monitoring activity at 📍Kallenga Lagoon, one of the valuable coastal ecosystems of the Vlorë region.

Through a systematic survey following the Beach Litter Monitoring Protocol, our team collected and recorded data on waste found along the monitored area 🗑️📋. The information gathered helps identify the most common types of litter and better understand the pressures that pollution places on sensitive lagoon habitats 🌍🐦.

Protecting lagoons is essential for preserving biodiversity, maintaining ecosystem services, and safeguarding the health of our coastal environments. Every monitoring activity provides evidence that supports more effective environmental policies and local conservation actions 💙♻️.

The project is funded by the European Union in Albania 🇪🇺 and implemented by Milieukontakt Albania (member of Milieukontakt International Network) and Environmental and Territorial Management Institute.

🌿🌊 As part of the project, Gjelbërimi 2000 carried out a marine litter monitoring activity at 📍Izvor River, Orikum.

Following the Beach Litter Monitoring Protocol along a 100-meter stretch of coastline, our team documented, sorted, and recorded the waste found on site 🗑️📊. This activity helps us better understand the sources, types, and quantity of pollution impacting our coastal ecosystems 🌍🐟.

Every piece of data collected contributes to stronger environmental protection efforts and a cleaner future for our rivers and seas 💙♻️.

Gjelbërimi 2000 ka kënaqësinë të njoftojë nisjen e projektit “Citizen Science për Monitorimin e Ndotjes nga Plastika në Vjosë”

Ky projekt synon të forcojë monitorimin e ndotjes nga plastika dhe të rrisë përfshirjen e komunitetit lokal në mbrojtjen e mjedisit në zonën e Vjosës. Përmes kësaj nisme promovohet qasja “Citizen Science”, duke angazhuar qytetarët në mbledhjen e të dhënave dhe ndërgjegjësimin mjedisor.

🔗 Ky projekt zbatohet si pjesë e projektit , i financuar nga European Union in Albania dhe zbatuar nga Milieukontakt Albania (member of Milieukontakt International Network)) dhe Environmental and Territorial Management Institute.
