This video shows how I handle my All-in-One pochade box. I have invented this model for myself. There was a time me and my family spent holidays with our friends in the forest, picking mushrooms, herbs, and making food on open fire. The place was really beautiful and I always wanted to paint a few studies, but there was always too much things to carry. I thought that would be wonderful if I had a pochade box which contains almost all materials in it, but still very lightweight and compact. And had a wet panel carrier for A5 size because it's quite cheap to buy some bookbinding cardboard and acrylic primer to make some panels. I worked at it for some time and here is it. Looks like people love the idea because it's selling good.

Hi everyone! I’ve made a new pochade box model designed around my favorite panel size — 6x8 inches. It’s quite good for quick studies focused on capturing changing light and atmosphere: sunsets, sunrises, forest sketches — those moments when the light shifts fast. This pochade box features a removable magnetic palette and built-in storage for carrying 4 panels. A 5x7 version is coming soon as well.

Also, we’ve launched a new website and switched to a new payment service. Our previous partner, 2Checkout, decided to part ways with us — along with pretty much everyone selling physical products. We took it as a good opportunity to move over to Shopify. By the way, I’ve also written a new article there about how to choose a pochade box — feel free to check it out. A design update for Martlet 8x10, side panel insertion type.

First, I created a new model for a box with built-in palette making it thinner and lighter.

Second, the hinges now mounting with screw-nut method like in Lori models.

Third, the wet panel carrier lid made like in All-in-One models, but the box still flat at the bottom. The lid is more convenient this way.

Finally, a new hook for a thinner jar. The box will always come with a dipper holder or a hook like that (last photo). You can choose which one you like.

Made a hot new 8x12 pochade box recently with few improvements:

- new high quality snap buttons;
- new wet panel carrier design with uplifted bottom panel;
- almost flat bottom for tabletop use.

This is a mix of All-in-One design and a standard Martlet, without leather parts, but with bottom panel holder. The box can be opened at 170 degrees which gives the opportunity to paint with a vertical palette. Almost the same angle of sight to the painting and to the palette can help in matching colors.

Built a custom pochade box recently, for 5x7 inch panels with 4-slot wet panel carrier and a removable magnet-mounted palette. Looks like it turns out as a very solid design and I like the look of it so much.

Roger Dellar Edition Martlet 10x12 — design update.
I slightly lowered the height of the palette space borders, because the palette is now sitting on four magnets. This makes it even more stable inside, easier to clean, and it no longer needs the lid of the pochade box to hold it down from above.
I also added decorative buttons on the lid of the wet panel carrier.

Bingo! The Haypost is shipping to the United States again. They now collect Trump's tariffs on checkout.

I have updated the website. At least there should be no problems with customs clearance, which I feared it could be. But, of course, it's not as great as good old Fe Minimis times IMO 😁

The test model of the All-in-One pochade box for 6x10 panels with the removable side brush case and changeable top pockets. We'll see maybe it'll become the main design.

Also there is a new juicy color "Chocolate truffle". It is a dark warm brown oil stain, I'm sure you'll like it.
