The radio receiver "Micro" was produced by the Zelenograd plant "Angstrem" since the beginning of 1965, and since the autumn of 1965 by the Minsk radio plant. The radio receiver is designed to operate in the LW and MW ranges. The receiver sensitivity is 35 mV/m. Selectivity is 6...10 dB. Output power is 0.5 mW. Power is supplied by a 1.2 V battery. Current consumption is 5 mA. The receiver dimensions are 45x30x13 mm, weight is 27 grams.

The receiver has a power switch, settings and a range switch. The receiver is assembled according to a direct amplification circuit on 6 transistors and is loaded onto a TM-2M telephone. In the radio receiver, six layers of different materials are applied to a board made of glass-ceramic polished to a high purity class, under high vacuum through special stencils, from which resistors, conductors, contact pads, capacitor plates and insulation are formed. Transistors are mounted on a separate board made of foil-clad fiberglass.

The "Micro" radio receiver was manufactured for sale in the USSR, and in the export version for a number of socialist countries under the names "Micro" and "Astrad Orion". The first releases of the "Micro" receiver had other frequency ranges and better sensitivity. Since 1967, the Minsk Radio Plant has been producing its receiver under the name "Micro-M".

The portable radio receiver "Orbita-2" has been manufactured by the Popov Riga Radio Plant since 1970. "Orbita-2" is a compact portable superheterodyne, assembled on 8 transistors. Just like the radio receiver "Orbita", it is designed for reception in the MW and HF ranges (25...75 meters) on an internal magnetic antenna. The scale in the MW range is graduated in kilohertz, in HF in meters.

The receiver's body is made of impact-resistant polystyrene. The control k***s and telephone jack are located on the side walls. The range switch is located at the back. The back cover has a compartment for 4 type 316 batteries. The radio receiver was equipped with a leather case and a miniature TM-4 telephone.

The magnetic antenna is made on a 150VCH ferrite core, 50VCH ferrite is used in the HF circuits. Unlike the Orbita receiver, there is a smooth tuning in the HF range (using a trimmer capacitor formed by a bronze petal and a common conductor of the printed circuit board).
In 1972, the receiver was modernized - the transistor of the local oscillator voltage stabilizer was excluded. In connection with this, the inscription on the scale also changed, ''8 transistor'' was replaced by the inscription ''All transistor''.

The radio receiver has a sensitivity in the MF range of more than 0.6 mV / m, and in the survey HF range of 400 μV. Selectivity is 26 and 16 dB, respectively. The nominal output power of the amplifier is 100 mW. The dimensions of the model are 142 x 81 x 37 mm. Weight is 340 gr.

On August 15, 1973, the 1,000,000th (millionth) receiver was manufactured. In total, 1.6 million Orbita receivers of all modifications were manufactured, the majority (more than 1 million) were intended for export.

In 1971, the plant manufactured a small batch (about 800 units) of the Orbita-2 radio receiver in the form of a radio construction kit.
