We don't really celebrate, but I gifted myself a tiny 18W style amp for stay-at-home stuff, like testing instruments, speakers and pedals. That's why I can get away with the flimsy HiFi positioning of the tubes. To be fair, this is reusing an old chassis which was used for a tube driven preamp pedal which was now obsloete.

Those who know me are aware that I am extremely neurotic about the absolute minimal footprint thing, so here we go, a full scale 18W won't get any smaller than this without PCBs.

I need you help btw, we need a name for this thing.

It's really, really loud and sounds huge. Happy new ears, everyone!

To me, Jeff Beck is aquired taste, stuff which had to sink in. There is only so much instrumental guitar music i can handle and I could never really wrap my head around his arrangements and his writing (plus his stage attire was mostly odd). However, if you don't get stupidly dogmatic about things, you learn to appreciate the good stuff, and man, did Beck have skill and TONE! I think Bonamassa once said, his playing often sounds "angry", and while that seems right, he also had this monster sound when he got into this incredibly dynamic phrasing. He was a real fretboard master, but I always got the greatest kick out of watching his right hand, doing the thumb and whammy business. Completely out of this world! I'll miss that guy and his tone

Lastly: I redid the Gotamen pedal board, proper power supply etc. I never liked playing with pedals, but it's convenient at times. I left a blank space for something stupid, like a fuzz or obscure OD, which seem to work well with slide
