For sale this German Double Bass made around 1880 by an unknown master from finest woods. This antique double bass served as the Solo double bass for the Vienna Symphony Orchestra from 2007 to 2025. The latest Kanzian & Traunsteiner Viennese Model double bass with Antique varnish is finished, and after 1,5 years Raphael Pätzold finally gets his hands on his new bass! Love at first tone, we would say! Thank you, Raphael, for your patience; you are now the proud owner of a K&T bass - that is the instrument we made in the last few months, the one with the spruce top with over 300 years’ rings on one side, fine flamed maple for all other parts and the best 1A quality African ebony fittings by Josef Klier.
