Today marks the opening of Vienna’s 22nd Africa Days celebrating all things AFRICA! I was invited to the pre-sale by the prolific Kenyan designer Zitah Khay this week and was just blown away not only by her beautiful, quality handwork, but also by her spirit and support of fellow African artists. I didn’t even have a chance to dig through her enormous fashion collection, but here is a tiny sampling of the accessories i goggled at, seriously making it difficult to choose. Luckily everything is so reasonably priced and affordable you don’t have to torment yourself with choosing:
Ceramic, peppercorn, leather Beaded bracelets, necklaces, Brillant laptop and iPad cases, Travel accessory bags, Wine bottle bags, Headwear, Blankets, Sarongs, Artworks, and the list goes on… plus Fashion!

OK. I’m clearly not a post-er child, but every now and then I do get around to it. A warm windy spring day with Mr Sunshine strolling through some of the most beautiful shops in the city certainly helps. Every tour is unique, just like the people who take them.

Why am I smiling? Because I met some very nice people today who stopped and shopped at my stand at the Rudolfstanz Straßenfest Today! I‘ll be there again Sunday with more oldies but goodies from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s plus, all at a steal! Stop by and say Hi! There’s something for everyone at the fest!

Where have I been? It’s a long story for another time, but the short of it is Shopping with Lucie! has been shopping For Lucie. A new year, a new place, and a new life… with all that’s new i needed a new bed too and so the search began… everywhere. It was overwhelming and exhausting. How does one choose a bed in a sea of beds? The choices seemed endless! I needed personal and professional help and I found it BettenHauser.

There are so many reasons to buy a bed at Betten Hauser. Firstly, it’s important to support local businesses, and I especially love a family business - Petra and Michael are siblings -, they have a sizable selection on 2 floors, they’re very helpful and relaxed and that’s so important when making a big decision, an investment in one’s wellbeing. They not only have a great selection of mattresses, but they also work with top frame makers and it was Love at first sight for me and my bed frame. I can literally say, I’ve found my dream bed.
