🎶✨ Meet Celia Craig — award-winning oboist, visionary creative, and lifelong synesthete who literally hears in colour. Known for her bold cross-genre collaborations and colour-rich sound, Celia’s artistry blurs the lines between classical tradition and vibrant innovation.

🎼 Former Principal Oboe with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and former Principal cor anglais with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, she’s now the 2025–26 SA Biennial Artist and 2024 Creative Arts Fellow at the National Library of Australia.⁠

🏆 Winner of the 2023 Australian Women in Music Award for Classical Excellence, Celia now serves on the AWMA jury, mentors for the Australian Youth Orchestra, and was personally chosen as the dedicatee of Dame Judith Weir’s Oboe Concerto.

🌈 As a synesthete, Celia experiences sound as colour — a rare, neurodivergent gift that fuels her creative vision. Her current project honours fellow synesthete and SA trailblazer Dr. Miriam Hyde, and her skills were further enhanced in 1990 while studying with yet another synesthete, Leonard Bernstein.

🌍 From recording at Abbey Road to performing on six continents, Celia continues to push boundaries with her record label Artaria and Flow Coaching for creatives.
