Father’s Day. For the people who are so bloody difficult to buy for.

They don’t want anything.
They don’t need anything.
And you’d quite like to give them something they’ll actually like. Not just something practical that gets a polite “oh, that’s useful”.

So we’ve put together a Father’s Day Edit full of things we think are genuinely good gifts. Different, useful-ish, fun, delicious, lovely. No emergency socks required.

And on a personal note, I don’t know what I’d do without my Dad. I’m 47 and somehow he still has to go above and beyond for me on a fairly regular basis.

I really wasn’t supposed to still be this much work.

These were a crowd favourite at Halifax Street.

So months ago, I placed a big order knowing they had to make their way here on a ship from Germany.

The plan was very sensible: when they arrived, I’d scurry them away ready for the new Geranium at the Central Market in November.

But Rundle Street wasn’t in the plan either.

And what an absolute gift that has turned out to be.

So why on earth am I saving the good stuff for later?

That’s kind of the whole Geranium thing.

Live life now.

Use the good glasses. Light the candle. Wear the fabulous thing. Make a fuss on a Tuesday. Don’t wait for the new house, the renovation, the dinner party, the birthday or some mythical special occasion.

And definitely don’t hide a shipment of fabulous German doormats away until November.

They’re here. They’re glorious. And Rundle Street deserves them.

So let’s celebrate the unexpected little chapter that is Geranium Rundle Street East 🖤
