Introducing Jack Katsidonis, he been in our lives his whole life and a part of a team for many years now. This is what he has to say: ā€œMy first experience at AFH was helping out as an extra set of hands on a Valentineā€™s Day. Witnessing the cooperation and coordination required to turn individual bunches of flowers into beautiful bouquets to be delivered anywhere across Adelaide had me excited to be a part of the team. I thrive in a busy work environment and having novel tasks.

Since then I have found much joy in my job. In my role, I could in one moment be picking up flowers from a wholesaler early in the morning to be swiftly delivered to the shops before the crowds arrive or I could be spending my day driving from Sellicks to Balhanna to Gawler and everywhere in between delivering bouquets to happy recipients. On some days I could be at the farm digging trenches and laying irrigation, on others putting up fencing and planting native flowers and dahlias which will eventually make their way to stores.

This job has introduced me to lifelong friends and given me skills I would never have thought Iā€™d gain when initially joining the team. Iā€™m forever grateful to Pete, Connie and Mina for making it possible! ā€œ

One of the greatest privileges of what we do is the people we get to work alongside every day.

Our corporate clients have trusted Adelaide Flower House with their brands, celebrations and milestones for more than 35 years. Many of those working relationships have grown into genuine friendships, and thatā€™s something weā€™ll never take for granted.

Lately, itā€™s been one of those seasons that reminds us why we love what we do.

Weā€™ve had the privilege of collaborating with some incredibly talented people, creating florals for beautiful corporate events, magical celebrations, and meaningful moments.

From styling the French Beauty Academy corporate event, to celebrating Glenda Bruntā€™s birthday, collaborating with Ashley from and curve model , and creating the bridal registry bouquet for & - each project has been a joy.

In between it all, we pulled up the last of the dahlias, marking the end of another growing season, and Pete and I quietly celebrated our first wedding anniversary.

Itā€™s these moments- big and small, creative and personal - that make this journey so special. Thank you for coming along with us. šŸ¤

Tonight we would like to introduce you to HANNAH BORGASā€¦ our gutsy, hardworking girl. This is what she has to say:
ā€œI found Connie when I was a very young and naive girl. I always say that she has given me so much more than employment, and thatā€™s still growing to this day.

I started out at AFH under Abbieā€™s wing. She taught me the foundations of the shop with so much grace, wisdom, and love, and I wouldnā€™t have the skills I have today without her.

I then took on the role of being ā€˜mini Helenā€™ which taught me skills I didnā€™t expect to gain. Through rogue event preparations, to on site set ups, I was lucky enough to witness Connie and Abbie create magic through their fingertips and give clients the day theyā€™ve always dreamed of. Working along side Connie at event set ups was a job like no other. She taught me the most immense attention to detail and at the same time how to do it with such poise.

Iā€™ve been lucky enough to travel through all shops, yet I am now found at The Flower Hutt, driving around in the van, or running around behind Pete.

I am so grateful for the opportunities I have been given, but most importantly to work so closely with Pete. I have gained a whole new perspective on the business and I now understand his true love and passion for it. I often catch myself getting too passionate about things and say ā€œoh no Iā€™m turning into Peteā€, yet itā€™s the exact traits I want to have because thatā€™s how this business has done so well and continues to!

From spray painting vessels in the backyard, building installations with cable ties, road trips to site with Abbie, plant shopping days with Pete, or turning the shop into an art display on Monday mornings, I have truly loved every part of it.ā€ šŸ¤
