Spring is probably the trickiest season to dress for, especially when the morning and afternoon seem to belong to completely different seasons.
The trick isn’t to dress for the forecast high. It’s to build an outfit that can change with the day.
For me, that means leaning more heavily on pieces that layer well and still work once something comes off: blazers, shirts, lightweight knits, lighter denim and trousers, and shoes that shift the whole outfit out of winter mode.
The small styling detail I think matters most? Make sure every stage of the outfit still works on its own.
That way, taking off your blazer or knit doesn’t leave you with an outfit that suddenly looks unfinished.
Which of these five are you reaching for most right now?
Save this for one of those cold- morning, warm-afternoon spring days, and send it to a friend who is never quite sure what to wear at this time of year.
Love your style.
