I know I said earring week was last week… but technically I got these on Sunday so does that count??! The last post featuring earrings had to be the amazing Middle Child™ who I have had the pleasure of stocking for (I’m going to guess) 7 years now??!
Lauren (with the super fab wing woman of Amy) has evolved this brand into a mix of amazing deco and vintage inspired gems - some enamel, some made up of a combo of glass beads and acrylic pieces. People always comment on these pieces in store because they are so eye catching and unique. Really well put together (all assembled in Geelong) and boasting the nicest and funkiest colour combos. When a new design comes out I know the colour combos will just work (even if they sound weird on paper).
Middle Child has been a necessary brand for me personally and shop wise for years so I’m really excited to welcome them to our Diamond Creek shop. There will be a top up of newness arriving in Adelaide any day now too ❤️

I’ve decided to go in to the Royal Exhibition Building this afternoon to The Finders Keepers Market to support some of my makers ❤️ Attending one of these huge markets is so much work. So much money. And so much of a gamble. I do what I do to support small makers and artists so I think it’s important for me to show that support today in person at the market.
We will be closing an hour earlier so I can get in to hug my people. I hope you understand ❤️ I’ll share my adventure too.

I think what’s been happening is the algorithm is throwing up my posts to people who don’t follow me and so they have no context about what I’m posting or what I do. Social media can be amazing but it can also be a source of anxiety for me as I always feel like I’m not doing enough or sharing enough or saying the right things.
Please know that most pages you follow will have a back story and a reason for posting. It can be stressful to see comments about wanting more information when I feel like I overshare as it is (so much that everyone who sees every post or story will think I’m repeating myself).

I don’t want to mention the shops addresses in every single post. I don’t want to say Croydon ADELAIDE and Diamond Creek VICTORIA in every single post. I don’t want to come across as trying to sell something in every single post.

Did you know we offer complimentary gift wrapping? This has always been a thing for me. For over 8 years I’ve had people say they recognise wrapping from my shop (it’s usually plain green with the bow) so their friends would always get excited seeing a gift from my shop 🥰 I’m slowly morphing it into a little bit of a fancier offering with amazing wrapping papers from Bespoke Letterpress but it will always have wool and string because I like the idea of everything in the wrapping being recyclable or compostable (and it’s also cute AF).

It seems to be earring week (or month maybe) at our shops. We have just had a drop of amazing pieces from Super lightweight steel earrings 🥰 including some special pieces from Kate’s Spring Collection. The watering can for (as Kate says) those who like to wear their hobby on their ears 😹 or the white plastic garden chair that definitely reminds me of house parties from the 2000s 🙊 my favourite though is the pair I ordered an extra one of just for me (swipe to see my pick).

These goodies are in store in Diamond Creek right now. I’ll send one of everything to Adelaide next week so keep your eyes peeled. Of course these are all listed online now as well ☀️

Cute Croydon 🥰 (and yes that’s Croydon in ADELAIDE, not Melbourne or Sydney). I feel grateful people from all over are finding us but it is confusing with so many suburbs called Croydon 😹
Our little Adelaide shop is not on a Main Street. It’s a bit of a hidden gem in the inner city burbs. With lots of coffee and great food options, it is definitely one of those streets that captures your heart. I hope you get to experience it one day (if not every day).

I can feel people finding us in Diamond Creek. I can feel the good feels from Adelaide as people choose my little biz. I so appreciate every single nice comment and friendly face. Letting me know you are making Christmas lists to buy from us makes me giddy. I only have love for this little community that continues to grow.
