bucket-list visit to idemparis ✨
It was so incredibly special to step inside this beautiful, lithography printing house, still in use today - you could feel the magic of all the work created and printed here.
Even more special to experience it with my good friend – loving printmaking since uni 25 years ago!
Memories made in Paris 🖤
Thank you to Patrice and Caroline for opening the doors to us and to Dragana for the studio tour – we loved it!

Idem is a historic printmaking studio in Montparnasse, built in 1881 by map printer Emile Dufrenoy. Its lithographic presses once belonged to Fernand Mourlot, who worked with artists including Matisse, Picasso, Miró, Braque and Chagall.
To see the presses in action, watch the 2012 documentary by David Lynch on YouTube.
