The response to our Q***r Book Club has been so touching and amazing to see. If you missed out on getting tickets the first time around, we have created a second session which is going to be held on the 4th of November, a month after our first session!

We really don't want anyone to miss out so we will now be running the book club every month, however, rather than a new book every month, it will be every two months to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to come along and participate.

For our November session we will also be reading 'Taiwan Travelogue' by Yáng Shuāng-zǐ (translated by Lin King) which explores the relationship between colonial Japan and Taiwan from 1895-1945 through a sapphic relationship between a travel writer and and translator.

Tickets are $15 for those who may already have the book and if you are purchasing the book through us, tickets are reduced to $10 using the discount code RAINBOW2.

I'm looking forward to meeting more of you and excited to talk all things LGBTQIA+!

🎉Book Club Announcement 1

We’re hosting a q***r bookclub! This Book Club event will be run by Cera:
~~~
Whether you’re q***r and wanting to read more literature that emphasises q***r experiences, or a reader just looking to diversify your bookshelf, look no further 🤗
The first book club will be held in store Wednesday, October 7th, with doors opening at 6pm to start promptly after!
For our first book we will be reading the latest winner of The International Booker Prize, ‘Taiwan Travelogue’ by Yáng Shuāng-zǐ (translated by Lin King). Taiwan Travelogue explores the relationship of colonial Japan and Taiwan from 1895-1945 through sapphic love experienced between a travel writer and her translator.
Tickets are $15 for those who have the book or prefer to use libraries, if you purchase the book through us, tickets are reduced to $10.
Refreshments (non-alcoholic) and nibbles will be available on the night and if you choose to come there will be a free Penguin Random House pride pin for all in attendance 🌈
More details about how to get tickets will be coming out soon…
For now the book club will run bi-monthly, so while there will always be plenty of time to read the book there are never any obligations. If you disliked the book or couldn’t finish it, your opinions will be of great value to our conversation!
I’ll be looking forward to seeing you there and hearing all the thoughts and opinions that ‘Taiwan Travelogue’ sparks for you! ☀️
