What a week! 🎉

Last week, we broke two records in the history of our business — our highest number of tyres sold in a single day and our highest weekly turnover ever.

96 tyres in one day! 💪
As for the weekly turnover… I’ll keep that number to myself 😂

Reaching numbers like this is never about one person. A great team is absolutely essential, and I’m very lucky to have this group around me.

After working together for so long, these guys feel more like family than employees. Sometimes I feel like a parent looking after a big group of kids 😂 Everyone has their strengths, everyone has their weaknesses, and part of building a good team is learning to understand and accept both.

Most importantly, we enjoy working together.

I genuinely hope that when I post another celebration next year — and the year after — you’ll still see the same familiar faces.

Now we’ve set the next target:

120 tyres in a single day. 🎯

I’ve already made them a promise — if we hit 120, the next celebration comes with a bottle of Penfolds Grange. 🍷😂

So… back to work!

Why CONTINENTAL? Here’s A REAL STORY.

On 29 August, a regular customer came in with his Audi SQ5 to complain that his Continental SportContact 6 (AO) tyres had worn out after around 14,000km.

The SQ5 is a heavy performance SUV, and SC6 is an Audi OE performance option. With performance tyres, the priority is grip, handling and braking — not maximum mileage. If Audi had chosen a everyday-focused tyre such as the Continental UX7, you could reasonably expect a different balance between performance and tread life.

But he’s a good customer, and I wanted to help.

11:00am — Customer came in.
11:10am — I called our Continental rep, explained everything and sent him the tyre history and mileage.
11:15am — Replied: No problem. Buy one, get one replacement.

Normally, the tyres need to be returned, inspected and assessed before warranty approval — a process that can take 3–6 weeks.

I asked him:
“Can we skip the waiting? I’ll replace the tyres for the customer first, and we can go through the process afterwards.”

11:25am — “No problem.”

25 minutes from complaint to solution.

By 3 September, the tyres had arrived, we fitted them, and the customer drove away happy.

I also took my responsibility as the retailer. I paid for the two tyres first. If the claim wasn't approved later, the $660 risk was mine. I had given my customer my word.

Performance tyres from Continental, Michelin, Pirelli and other premium brands naturally trade some tread life for performance. That’s part of choosing the right tyre for the right purpose.

What impressed me was the support behind the product.

No arguments. No passing responsibility. No making the customer wait. Just a solution and this is not
