World of Senses

World of Senses Sensory, Educational & Therapy Resources suitable for all children. Proudly raising awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Recent studies show that Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects 1 in 60 people and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) affects 1 in 20 people. These figures show that the diagnoses are at an all time high and the chance of encountering a child who is diagnosed with one or both of these disorders is even higher yet there is still a stigma and a lack of understanding that surround these disorders. To

top it off therapies and resources can be expensive and hard to access for families and government support can be extremely difficult to access. Our goal is to raise awareness for ASD and SPD whilst supporting families who face challenges daily. Our products have been carefully selected and manufactured and some can be customised to suit each individual with ASD or SPD. In addition they also provide sensory, educational, and fun experiences for children. By making these products suitable for all children it provides an opportunity for friends and family to support your family whilst spoiling their kids too! Sensory parties are another amazing service we offer and are a great opportunity to get together with friends and family for a much needed break. We offer a demonstration that can be as broad or selective as you like with an opportunity to give everyone an opportunity to experience our sensory products such as Kinetic Sand, I-Spy bags, Water Beads etc. A demonstrator will bring an array of products that interest you, however all products available for purchase or order are shown in our brochures at the party. Sensory parties are also kid friendly so they are a fantastic way to get to know playgroup or school mums, whilst the kids build friendships too. ANYONE can have a sensory party, and EVERYONE will want to play with the toys!

Being emotionally available to our children doesn’t mean we don’t set limits and boundaries (discipline is an essential part of being a parent). It means we acknowledge and make space for their feelings so they still feel visible to us in difficult moments. It means that you recognize that your child does not have the same capacity as an adult to regulate their emotions—-this comes with time and repeated co-regulation from their caregiver.

Holding these feelings for our children lets him know they are safe and will make space for vulnerability in their adult relationships.

It means they will turn to us in the future when things are too difficult to handle on their own ❤️
