Salvi's are South Australian warranty agents for Gibson, CFMartin&Co, Ibanez and more. We do all repairs to all fretted instruments, including fitting pickups, broken headstocks, refinishing and paint repairs. We also custom build acoustic and electric instruments, no matter how off the wall.

It’s hard for us Gen X’s to blow our own trumpets, but this headstock was off and cracked across the neck and the back of the paddle . I see so many splines routed in, patches, bad colours and squiffy fixes that I thought I’d better let you all know I reckon we do some of the best Gibson headstock repairs going. What do you reckon?

Cool repair of the week! Someones had a go at a neck reset on this vintage Gibson. Looks like they struggled. We’ll get it sorted and playing like new again :)

Cool guitar of the week! 1973 D18. Was in near mint condition, but has come in for a broken headstock repair 😞
Also need to make a new pickguard as this one has shrunk, very common in this era, and they tend to crack the top if left unattended.
