Wild Treasures by Jacqui Thomson

Wild Treasures by Jacqui Thomson I love dabbling in art and making creations to bring a smile to someone's face. It has always been a go-to in my life. Every bit of love goes into everything.

From sunny Agnes Water, Qld

Love for art, animals and protecting our native species ๐Ÿ’™

Check out my albums for original paintings on loads of prodcuts under my red bubble shop My creations are inspired mostly by nature, using things from nature and acquired store bought items. If I could craft everyday, all day - I would be one happy person. But I do have a Part time job that is rather physical,

enjoy outdoor activities like running, bike, surfing, supping. Anything outside in the sun! I have 4 acres to tend to (thankfully over half is still bush for the wildlife! A family with 2 gorgeous kids, 4 dogs, 3 cats, loads of chickens and the visiting wildlife. Any purchase of my products brings a massive smile on my face and gratitude it is something, someone else would like.

The Board Meeting

If you zoom in you may see the writings by the animals and that each one seems to be responsible for different topics.

The croc however thought this could have just been an email and is likely more keen on the Timtams

"The Board Meeting"

Just some of the progress of my painting.

Acrylic on Canvas

See last reel for description and meaning - though I think it's self explanatory ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’™

Ok here it is ! ๐ŸŽ‰

"The Board Meeting"

This is a heart felt peice with comedic attributes and satire elements.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Did you know -

Since European settlement in Australia; 100 Different species of fauna and flora have perished. With another 2000 on the endangered list.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Did you also know -

Thousands of Dingoes are killed under the precent of 'wild dog' each year.

Due to constant land clearing and previous pelt collections - Koalas are endangered.

Over a million Kangaroos are killed each year through commercial harvest. With more estimates reaching up to 4 million when including farmers shooting, car accidents and dependant Joey's losing their mums.

Farmers once and maybe still, killed thousands of Wedge Tailed Eagles.

An estimated 100million sharks are killed every year.

By late 1960s, after having killed over 300,000 salt water crocs in Northern AU - it became a concern the species was in trouble.

Those areas just some little big things that we have done to some of our Native Australian animals since european settlement.

It's tragic.
And it falls under the word 'Progress'

I grew up with a dad that painted and he too enjoyed the work of Cassius Marcellus Coolidge.

With all the seemingly lack of care for our animals future - this painting reflects the frustration and how it may just be fair for animals to do with humans what they do to them.

Hope you like it!

Wish I could be here for this! If you can go, get to it!

What's your favourite quote?

๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’™

Certain situations in life can be seen from so many different angles.

Take clouds for example -
One angle someone may see lions conversing. Another may see dogs fighting. Sheep. Or just blobs.

S**t goes down and people can choose to stress from it, learn from it, ignore it.

What you choose to do with what life throws at you or what you may find yourself in is totally up to you. If its by choice or by sh*tty circumstances.

Everything in life always takes me back to three of my favorite quotes -

โœ…๏ธ "The grass is green where you water it"
โœ…๏ธ "What Others Think of You is None of your business"
โœ…๏ธ "What seems like chaos to the fly is normal for the Spider"

We are all just walking each other home.
Some are friends. Some are fos. Some care. Some come to disrupt. Some just sit for the gossip.

At the end of the day we all head to the same place.

And that's likely my 4th quote I remember when gong through an intersting time -

๐Ÿ’™ "if I was to die tomorrow, would any of this matter?"

What's one or more of your favorite quotes?

Parliament House of Canberra!

We bloody did it!! Woohoo!

Jodie and I half joked / half serioused about road tripping here if I came down to see her in Sydney.
We did it!

Saw my Dingo painting "Fragments of Our imagination" hanging in her rightful place.
Escorted by James - who was rather delighted by our ridiculous Qld humor. (Thankfully because sometimes I just can't zip it) and Jodies questions.

Saw loads of other Art. Had coffee. Said hello to Maggie's then made way to the other Art Gallery. Ate food and made or 3 hour journey back to Sydney.

Looking forward to the sunrise in the morning over the ocean and a good long walk after all that sitting ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’™

So I got into sydney 5 hrs later than planned to yesterday but I got to Jodie eventually!!

After a good catch up, sleep and of course a coffee - we made way from Maruba to Bondi via foot.

A good couple hours walk with breakfast in-between, plus a swim! (Omg freeeezing!!) Then continue to Bondi.

We came across a cute little cavoodal running back and forth looking for his owner.
There was a lot of onlookers not helping the situ - but I managed to see his name Winston on his collar and that it had a number on it, so did my usual "its ok doggy I got ya" until it let me put a finger around his collar to see the phone number.
Boy of boy did his whole personality change once his mummy came ๐Ÿคฃ

Anyway. Bondi, a drink, some OP shopping and a cab back home.

Ready for our road trip tomorrow to Canberra!!
