Spring is here, and this weekend is forecast to be the most stunning spring weather.

What a terrific evening with Jock Serong!

To a packed audience on Saturday evening Jock and Gregory Day unpeeled the many layers of Fletcher’s Jones complex philanthropic life, from his early days as a Great War soldier and then travelling Hawker in the Western district right through to his remarkable vision founded on profit sharing and staff ownership.

What shone through was a profoundly decent man, with a genuine belief in people and community.

A huge thanks to Jock and Greg for their generosity and time, they are champions as always. Also our thanks to Harper Australia and Transit Lounge. We were blown away by the support of our patrons as always.

We were privileged to have a wonderful evening with Myf Warhurst with Geelong Library hosting an event to a capacity audience at The Dome in central Geelong where Myf was in-conversation with Jacinta Parsons. 

She spoke candidly, and with much humour, and at times with heartbreaking honesty about some of the unexpected curveballs in her life and unpacked the common injustices facing all women, young and older. 

It was one of those very special evenings where you walk away feeling uplifted by the power of honest conversation and shared stories. 

A huge thank you to Gillian and her wonderful team at Geelong Regional Library, and to Hachette Australia, for making this inspirational event happen.
