A few little updates from us at The Banksia Pod / Native Avenue as we roll into a new season.

πŸš— We’re delivering!
If getting down to the farm is tricky, we can now bring the flowers to you across our local area. Fresh, farm direct natives without the extra running around.

πŸ† End-of-year sporting presentations are coming...οΏ½If your club is starting to think coaches, volunteers, committee members, awards and thank-yous, come straight to the farm for your bunches.
We can help with larger orders, keeping it affordable, and have everything ready to go.

🌸 And The Pod has had a seasonal refresh.� New season flowers are starting to roll through, along with gifts from some of our favourite local small businesses.

So if you need a birthday, thankyou, teacher gift, coach gift, "I probably should bring something" gift... we've got you.

Native Ave is down a man this week and our hearts are heavy.

Darren was the OG, there from the very start. And even before. A friend to Dain and then to all of us.

He'd rock up, knock at the door and embrace the chaos happening behind it. Sipping a coffee and laughing with our family.

He worked in the business for a time while he was able. Endless stems sorted and the master of pulling stuck buckets a part.

Every big event, and small wild idea we had for this place- Daz was involved in some way. Planning, material sourcing, brute force, cunning ideas and often, keeping the kids busy while we got things over the line.

As we look around our farm, he is at the root of every memory of building this dream and our kids memories here.
Cubby houses, chicken coups, trampoline assembly, shed extensions, animals pens, animal arrivals, tree lopping, shipping container deliveries. Every sketchy use for the tractor and a lot of days spent dreaming. There was nothing he didnt think we could do.

This man would happily camp at our markets that he helped set up, be deso fire chief at every bonny, be roped into any Job he stumbled across be more than glad to tell us half way through that he would've done it differently. (And more often than not, be correct)

His friendship was simple and genuine. If it matters to us, it mattered to him.

Daz, we are sorry your body was hurting. You deserved more time.
Go chase that big fish now mate, straight into your final sunset.
We'll be seeing you and thinking of you always. 🀍✨️
