Delivery day for four R22700 Litre / 5000 Gallon Upright Rainwater Tanks, rolling out to their new home.

Getting tanks this size safely from our Alstonville, NSW manufacturing plant to a property anywhere in Australia, is its own logistics exercise — flatbed trailers, careful strapping, and a route planned in advance. Over 250,000 tanks manufactured, and every one of them delivered by us.

Last checks before it's out the door.

Adam giving this SmartBund™ Diesel & Chemical Storage Tank a final once-over before delivery. Before sign-off every unit gets checked, double-checked, triple-checked and more before it leaves Alstonville, NSW — fittings, seals, cabinet, the lot.

The outer bund holds 110% of the inner tank's capacity, so it's built to contain a leak, not just hold fuel. Diesel configurations are engineered to AS1940:2017, and the range scales from 400 litres right up to 32,000 for bigger sites.

Another one ready to head out and get to work. 🔧

This is our Alstonville, NSW head office — where our sales office and manufacturing plant are right next to each other.

It's where Duraplas started as a small family business, and where every tank in our range gets made today, over 42 years on.

Founder John Fleming continues to run the company he started — still hands-on, still Alstonville, still family-owned. A lot changes in four decades. But not the founder and not the address. And especially not the core values that began Duraplas.

Drop into the sales office if you're ever in the Northern Rivers — the tanks out front are the same ones rolling off the line just metres away. 🏠

This is where every Duraplas tank begins.

Before it's a tank, it's raw polyethylene, loaded into the mould and sealed in. From here it goes through rotomoulding — the mould rotates on two axes under extreme heat, and the material melts and fuses evenly across every internal surface. No seams, no welds, no joins. One continuous piece.

The amount of material that goes in matters too — we publish shot weights across our range so customers aren't left estimating. A 22,700-litre round tank, for example, uses 410kg of polyethylene. That's the kind of detail you can actually check, not just take our word for.

Every tank we've built since 1984 has started exactly like this, right here in Alstonville. 🏭
